The All-Rounder

J2ME offers the largest technical reach of all mobile platforms. It is supported by almost all smartphones and a very large portion of feature phones. Applications, realized in J2ME are running on proprietary platforms (e.g. Samsung, LG, Motorola etc.) and are in general easy to port to another phone.

Since backend systems are often developed using Java (J2EE), synergies can be utilized when using J2ME as mobile client technology for Client-Server applications.

Since J2ME is much older than iPhone or Android, TIC-mobile has an even longer experience in this technology. We developed various client-server solutions, Apps with integrated positioning, multimedia-apps (video, sound) and chat-apps using Java and J2ME.
